About Us

Belle Jolie was created in May of 2009. It is the creation of Patricia Essex, who at that time decided to retire from the corporate world and start her own vision. She instituted a three year transition that would allow her to phase out her current reality as a Financial Director and replace it with one she would build and grow as a family dynasty.

Her first idea was a boutique that sold imported and luxury soaps and lotions. After looking at countless lines of product and endless options, she quickly realized that natural, luxurious products should be, but were not readily available to everyone. Many of the products she saw were either overpriced or a sub-par product that was filled with preservatives that would harm the skin. It was then that she decided to make a line of skin care that was affordable, natural and above all luxurious and elegant to the touch.  Instead of importing the products from Europe, they would be made exclusively in the United States.

That first year was filled with many experiments.  Almost everyone who knew Patricia received product samples. Sometimes they were a hit, sometimes not so much. There was the purple volcano that took over the test kitchen and the slate soap that took your hair off when you rubbed it on your skin. Everything we cooked in our kitchen that year tasted of soap and perfume. In time and thanks in part to the patience of friends and family, quality products emerged. The Belle Jolie line had been created.

When you enter the Shoppe, the vision is that you will feel pampered just walking through the door. The scents will bathe you in elegance and you will relax immediately. All of the products have been through a special process that allows you to experience a positive energetic experience. It is applied to each and every product we carry while it is being created. When you use Belle Jolie products you will feel renewed spiritually and refreshed emotionally.

Throughout our hectic schedule, we forget the most essential rule of self care -- take time, everyday, for renewal. You shouldn't need to go away for a special occasion to care for yourself. We hope to remind you of the importance and ease of feeding the skin and nourishing the soul.
